 THE WORLD IS OUT TO GET YOU is about Ava, a teenage girl who is able to bring the dead back to life, but not for long as they always die again soon after. When her one and only friend, Amber, dies in front of her she brings her back but now is tasked with keeping her alive while keeping Amber's death, and her ability, a secret. 

After her resurrection, Amber will live for as much as a few days, or as little as a few hours, before she dies again, and Ava keeps bringing her back. However, repeated death takes a toll on you and Amber's mental and physical health begin to worsen while Ava's clinginess and secrecy strains their relationship.
